Chief Constable of West Yorkshire v Farrand UKEAT/0292/14/LA
Appeal against a ruling that the respondent had unlawfully discriminated against the claimant, a disabled employee, by failing to make reasonable adjustment in two respects. Conditional cross-appeal on the basis that the ET did not determine the claimant’s separate claim that a job transfer was disability-related discrimination contrary to section 15 of the Equality Act 2010. Both appeal and cross-appeal allowed.

The Charity Commission v Orbison UKEAT/0511/12/JOJ
Appeal against decision that the claimant, disabled within the meaning of the Equality Act, had been unfairly constructively dismissed in cirucmstances where it was submitted that the employer had failed to make a reasonable adjustment by requiring he claimant to attend a meeting with his line manager and so was a breach of contract. Appeal allowed on the issue of breach of contract and case remitted for futher hearing on issue of discrimination.
