New Vento bands from 6 April 2019
The Presidents of the Employment Tribunal in England & Wales and Scotland have released new Vento Bands in respect of claims on or after 6 April 2019. The new bands take into account changes in the RPI All Items Index released on 20 March 2019.
A second addendum to the Presidential Guidance which was published on 5 September 2017 (with a first addendum issued on 23 March 2018) has been released. The updated Vento bands shall be as follows:
* - a lower band of £900 to £8,800 (less serious cases); * - a middle band of £8,800 to £26,300 (cases that do not merit an award in the upper band); and * - an upper band of £26,300 to £44,000 (the most serious cases), with the most exceptional cases capable of exceeding £44,000.
