Mrs Justice Simler has been apppointed as the next President of the Employment Appeal Tribunal with effect from 1 January 2016. She succeeds Mr Justice Langstaff.

She was called to the Bar in 1987, taking silk in 2006. She was appointed to the High Court, Queen's Bench Division in October 2013, and was approved to sit as a judge of the EAT in 2013.

The appointment is for three years from 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2018.
