**Kathy Daniels is a lecturer at Aston University, teaching employment law and employee relations at undergraduate and postgraduate level. She has written a number of books, including an employment law textbook which is in its fourth edition. She writes employment law related material for a range of organisations, including the CIPD and is a lay member of the Employment Tribunal sitting in Birmingham.
