The National Minimum Wage will rise from £6.50 to £6.70 per hour from 1 October 2015. For apprentices, it will go up by 57p, from £2.73 to £3.30, equivalent to a 20% rise. The hourly rate for young workers has also been increased; from £5.13 to £5.30 for 18 to 20 year olds, and from £3.79 to £3.87 for 16 and 17 year olds.
